    Artists’ bio: 

    Bard The Beholder is Taipei’s masked extraterrestrial drag creature who conjures worlds within words. Using eco-conscious costuming, interactive live performance, game design, and related practices, Bard engages themes of migration, history, and horror to explore their lived experience as a queer person. 

    Bard The Beholder是台北的蒙面外星變裝生物,致力於在文字之中幻化、建構出嶄新的世界。透過具備環保意識的服裝設計、互動式現場表演、遊戲設計及相關實踐,Bard 涉足移居、歷史與恐怖(horror)等主題,藉此探索自身作為酷兒(queer)的生命經驗。

    Popcorn (Nick van Halderen) is a Taipei-based drag performer who hails from Aotearoa (New Zealand). Exploring abstraction, transhumanism, and horror, Popcorn entertains, confuses, and provokes audiences, pushing boundaries to create space for experimental behaviour and self-discovery.

    Popcorn(Nick van Halderen)是一位現居台北、來自奧特亞羅瓦(Aotearoa,紐西蘭)的變裝表演者。透過對抽象、超人類主義(transhumanism)與恐怖(horror)等主題的探索,Popcorn 在娛樂大眾的同時,也帶來困惑與挑釁,藉由打破既定邊界,為實驗性行為與自我探索開闢出嶄新的空間。

    Performance description:

    In this performance, Bard The Beholder and Popcorn offer compassion to the transcendental figure of Guanyin. Through collective wishes, ritual, and prayer, these two gender-fluid servants of Guanyin invite guests to gather in good faith, extending care among themselves, toward Guanyin, and out beyond the stratosphere.

    在這場表演中,Bard The Beholder 與 Popcorn 將向具有超然意象的觀音菩薩獻上慈悲。透過集體許願、儀式與祈禱,這兩位觀音身邊的「流體性別」(gender-fluid)侍者,邀請觀眾帶著善意與正念齊聚一堂,將關懷相互傳遞——從彼此之間、向內延伸至觀音,並向外擴散、穿透平流層(stratosphere)直到無垠的遠方。

    Artist bio: 

    Neaco Fox is an American-Taiwanese producer, creator, and educator working across events, installation, and performance. Their work explores migration, identity, and gender. Before moving to Taiwan to pursue their master’s degree, they had worked with Disney Theatrical Group, The Moth, and the Mattress Factory – Contemporary Art Museum.

    Neaco Fox 是一位台美雙籍的製作人、創作者與教育工作者,其工作實踐橫跨活動、裝置與表演藝術。他們的創作致力於探索移居(migration)、認同與性別等議題。在移居台灣攻讀碩士學位之前,他們曾與迪士尼劇場集團(Disney Theatrical Group)、故事講述組織 The Moth 以及床墊工廠當代藝術博物館(Mattress Factory – Contemporary Art Museum)等機構合作。

    Performance description: 

    Beyond Gender (a work in progress) is a butoh-inspired performance that merges structured choreography with spontaneous environmental responses. With musical accompaniment by Tigerland (Armaan Tagore), interwoven with the resonant frequencies of a live guitar and dynamic layering from Ableton Live, the piece transforms the physical space into a site of reflection as the performance explores gender.

    本作品是一部深受「舞踏」(butoh)啟發的身體表演。作品將結構化的編舞與對環境的即興身體回應相融合。在 Tigerland(Armaan Tagore)的音樂伴奏下,現場吉他的共鳴頻率與來自 Ableton Live 的動態音層相互交織,隨著表演對「性別」議題的深入探索,將實體空間轉化為一個充滿思辨與反思的場域。
